LCTT Apprenticeship Program

The LCTT apprenticeship program offers the opportunity for the inexperienced individual to learn career skills through actual “hands on” training. When you finish your training you will have the necessary skills to become a Journeyman Tree Trimmer. Local 17 has one of the best reputations in our industry.

Along with on-the-job training, classroom training will be taught, which increases your knowledge about Line Clearance Tree Trimming.

In class training will consist of:
Job Duties
Proper Work Attire
Personal Protection Equipment
1st Aid-CPR
Electrical Systems and Voltages
Fundamentals of Tree Rescue
Hands on Tree Rescue
Climbing Gear and Proper Fit
Ropes and Care
Traffic Control and Flagging
Job Briefing and Tree Inspections and Operating Procedures
Chain Saws and Hand Tools
Care and Maintenance
Tree Trimming and Removals
Knots, Hitches and Rigging
Specialized Equipment
